Runaway Bay is ideal for All travelers. We have a very private property with only 3 small vacation homes that can be rented as a package or individually. The Frolic Room is our most popular for individuals & couples and has a queen size bed, full bathroom, full kitchen and private back patio with hot & cold outdoor shower on the patio. The Blue Heron is next door to The Frolic Room and is our largest vacation home on the property. The Blue Heron has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom with a full kitchen, large living room and waterfront covered and screened porch facing the water and the evening sunsets. The patio is furnished with lounge chairs and a dining table with dining chairs. The Blue Heron is the perfect for couples, groups and families. The Boathouse is the favorite among our returning guests. The Boathouse is located over 250 feet away from the other houses, at the end of our private fishing pier. The Kayaks and John Boat are right outside the door, and if you bring your own boat, or rent one of ours, you can dock it right outside of the door because The Boathouse is built right over the water! The Boathouse has 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in the 1st bedroom and 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. The Boathouse also has a queen size sofa sleeper, in the living room. The Boathouse is ideal for All Guests!

Places to visit while at Runaway Bay include: Lake George, The St Johns River, Silver Glen Run, Juniper Springs, Salt Springs, Alexandria Springs Blue Springs, The Ocala National Forest, The Lake George Forest, Barberville Pioneer Settlement, Horseback Riding, Kayaking, River Cruise, Boating, River Cruise, etc.
The closest bar, gas, bait shop & boat ramp are right next door at The Pine island Marina. The center of the small town of Seville is about 4 miles through the forest, on paved roads.
We are located in a rural area with limited public transportation. The best way to see the sights is by boat, car or motorcycle. There are great horse trails through The adjoining Lake George Forest and Runaway Bay is located directly on and over Lake George, which is a 46,000 acre lake that sits on The St Johns River, which you can navigate by boat from Lake Monroe, in Sanford, FL to The Atlantic Ocean, on this North flowing river that finds is mouth in Jacksonville, FL where it flows into The Atlantic Ocean.
